"阿弥陀様は知らぬ顔してござるが、衆生が勝手に往生してしまう。"

"彌陀沒作意，眾生自行往生了。”

“While Amida pretends to be ignorant, sentient beings go to the Pure Land as they please."
(Rev Zuio Inagaki's translation)

"Though Amida-sama acts as if he doesn't know it, sentient beings are born (in the Pure Land) according to their wishes."

It is Amida’s Vow-Power that enables you to attain birth in the Pure Land, but his Vow-Power is free of any attachment. So while Amida does everything for our birth, he is completely unattached. Normally you expect something like, “Amida does everything for our birth.”
