"阿弥陀様は知らぬ顔してござるが、衆生が勝手に往生してしまう。"
"彌陀沒作意,眾生自行往生了。”

“While Amida pretends to be ignorant, sentient beings go to the Pure Land as they please."

"Though Amida-sama acts as if he doesn't know it, sentient beings are born (in the Pure Land) according to their wishes."

Rev Zuio Inagaki's note:
It is Amida’s Vow-Power that enables you to attain birth in the Pure Land, but his Vow-Power is free of any attachment. So while Amida does everything for our birth, he is completely unattached. Normally you expect something like, “Amida does everything for our birth.”

Editor's input:
It's sentient being that's truly ignorant in this case. We are unthankful to Amida Buddha for his perfect arrangements or "designs."
