Unfailingly Be Brought Across It

"The ocean of birth-and-death, of painful existence, has no bound;
Only by the ship of Amida's universal Vow
Can we, who have long been drowning,
Unfailingly be brought across it." (Kosa Wasan)

“Unfailingly be brought across it” is truly treasured; this bombu who has neither skill of Faith nor skill to board (the ship), however, is “unfailingly be brought across it” ”just as I am (konomama).” Feeling so ashamed and repentant, we hold it dear.
